My name is Matthew Edelstein, and I am currently a junior at Ransom Everglades School. For what seems like forever, I have been active with my synagogue, Temple Beth Sholom, and in the Jewish community. Presently, I volunteer at the Miami Beach JCC. I enjoy going to temple and relish being part of a community.

This incredible program has helped me grow and solidify my Jewish Identity. From this opportunity, I hope to gain the ability to use my leadership skills to command a room, as well as finally develop a connection with the homeland of the Jews. I believe that it is very important that I develop as a Jew and a leader. The Diller Fellowship is so special and unique because of its international connections. Up until now, I have never been able to connect to Judaism alongside other teens. I am overwhelmingly excited about the relationship that awaits between me and Israel.
